This supremely elegant advertising poster from 1932-33 by Marcello Dudovich was created for Borsalino Fu Lazzaro & Co the storied Italian hat maker founded in Alessandria in 1857, whose name has been synonymous with the finest Italian millinery for over a century and a half.

Marcello Dudovich (1878–1962) and Borsalino were a natural pairing two names that represent the very pinnacle of Italian style and craftsmanship in their respective fields. Dudovich's fashion illustration work was characterised by an effortless elegance and a deep understanding of how to convey luxury and refinement through line, composition and colour, making him the ideal artist to represent a brand as distinguished as Borsalino.
