Summer life in Italy.

Not many people know that the winter in Italy can be cold, damp and miserable. Which is why the Italians play in Summer.

There is nothing they like more than to eat outdoors at one of the many outdoor sagre. Here you can eat traditional Italian food which is normally simple Italian pasta, Italian pizza and local meat specialities.

These Italian food evenings can run for a number of days or once a week for a month and there is somewhere to go to every night if you want to.

The Italian outdoor feast is normally accompanied by music and dancing, both modern and ballroom.

These historic sagre go on until the end of the summer and into the early autumn while the weather is still warm enough to eat outside. When the weather changes for the worst, everyone goes indoors and looks forward to the next summer of eating and dancing.
